Joseph M Lafrentz

Joseph M. Lafrentz, 71, of St. Augustine, died peacefully with his family by his side on April 5, 2023 at the Community Hospice Bailey Family Center for Caring. He was born in White Plains, NY and later moved to Phoenix, AZ as a young boy. Joe lived in Atlanta, GA where he spent most of his adult life working as a consultant in the Advertising business. He then retired in St. Augustine, FL with his family to enjoy the sunshine and the beach. Joe was an avid sports fan. He had a love for golf, watching sports and rooting for his Atlanta Braves and Arizona Wildcats. His can’t-miss sporting event was The Masters. Joe was a self-made man that enjoyed life to the absolute fullest. He never met a stranger, nor would he pass up the opportunity for a good talk. His favorite hobbies included playing with his grandkids, dancing around the room listening to his favorite tunes and relaxing in the sunshine. He was a beloved husband to Susan, and father to Thomas, Christopher, Andrew and Sarah. He was a wonderful Jopa to his grandchildren Taylor, Tinley, Charlee, Barrett and Harper. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed. A Celebration of his Life will be held 1:00 p.m. on Monday April 10, 2023 at St. Johns Family Funeral Home. Lafrentz, St. Augustine; children, Thomas Shaw (Tiffany), St. Johns FL, Christopher Shaw(Christine), Ball Ground, GA, Andrew Shaw, Johns Creek, GA, daughter, Sarah Sweeney(Matthew), Elkton FL; sister, Fransara Frandsen (JT), Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Taylor Shaw, Tinley Shaw, Charlee Shaw, Barrett and Harper Sweeney; nephew, James Frandsen, Phoenix, AZ; mother-in-law, Jacqueline Howell, Atlanta, GA; and brothers-in-law, Edgar Howell(Pam), Ashburn, Virginia, James Howell(Kimberly), Atlanta, GA.
