Yolanda Jasmina Waite

Yolanda Jasmina Waite, 25 of St. Augustine, died unexpectedly on April 15, 2021 in Jacksonville, Florida. Born in Newark, New Jersey she was the daughter of Aon Oniel Waite, Sr and Donna Irving. Yolanda was raised primarily in the Newark area before moving to Quakertown, Pennsylvania where she graduated from Quakertown Senior High School. Yolanda moved to the St Augustine area following high school and she continued her education spending two years in a criminal justice program before completing a certification in cosmetology and additional education to earn her Laser Hair Removal Technician certification. Yolanda had started her own cosmetology business; London Banks Hair & Makeup Mobile Services, and travelled to different locations providing hair styling, eyelash extensions and other beauty services for her clientele. She had just developed her very own line of eyelash extensions which was set to launch in the next several weeks. Yolanda was beautiful inside and out. She was a model and also assisted other models with preparing them for photoshoots. She led a very active life and lived every day to the fullest. She lit up every room she walked into with her smile, beauty, and personality. Yolanda enjoyed the beach, jet skiing, ziplining, and running her business. Her life was always filled with family, friends, music, dancing, and travelling. She also knew no strangers and would engage in conversation with anyone wherever she went. She held her family most dear to herself and she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her mother, Donna Irving; father, Aon Oniel Waite, Sr.; brothers, Jabriel Halsey, Ali Halsey, EB Halsey, Isaiah Halsey, Aon Oniel Waite, Jr, Oniel Waite, Angel Waite and Sarelli Waite; sister, Hurriyah Johnson; step-sisters, Stacy Irving and Ava Irving; step-brother Cornell Irving, Jr.; grandmother, Sona Bent of Jamaica; aunt, Phyllis “Aunt P” Wyatt; uncles, Brett Wyatt, Chris O'Brian Waite and Kim Leighton Waite along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. Yolanda was preceded in death by her grandmother, Phyllis Gonzalez; stepfather, Cornell Irving, Sr. and sister Charlene Micelle Halsey. A visitation is scheduled at St. Johns Family Funeral Home for Thursday, April 22 at 3:00 PM followed by a Celebration of Life Service officiated by Dr. Sam Thigpen at 4:00 PM.
