In Loving Memory of Melanie Steele January 30, 1950 - July 13, 2025 Melanie Steele, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 75 years old. Born in Renton, Washington, and raised in the Northgate neighborhood of Seattle, Melanie's vibrant spirit and tireless energy were evident from a young age. She attended Federal Way High School, where she met the love of her life, Bryan Steele, in 1966. The two were inseparable from that point forward and married on May 11, 1967, celebrating 58 years of marriage and nearly six decades together. Melanie was a force in the restaurant industry, dedicating much of her professional life to Cattle Baron Restaurants, Inc., where she ultimately served as CEO. She was an influential voice in her field and a proud member of the New Mexico Restaurant Association. Melanie and Bryan relocated to Florida in 2020, but her heart was always wherever her family was. She took immense pride and joy in her son, Steven Steele, and his wife, Ellen, and was a deeply devoted grandmother to Jonathan and Christina Steele. Known for her creative spirit and zest for life, Melanie had many hobbies and interests: cooking, art, remodeling, reading, and daily exercise were just a few of her passions. She was an enthusiastic foodie who loved discovering new restaurants and was always planning her next adventure or travel experience. She enjoyed quality time with family, especially watching great TV series across all her favorite streaming platforms. Melanie was a member of North Point Community Church in Atlanta and found great comfort and connection in her faith community. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Bryan; her son, Steven (Ellen); her grandchildren, Jonathan and Christina; her brother, Clayton Wilson; and her beloved cat, Harrison. Melanie was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Genevieve Wilson, and her siblings, Nora Modderman, Jeff Wilson, and Wanda Kenmier. To know Melanie was to witness a life fully lived - rich in love, laughter, and meaningful connection. Her legacy is one of unwavering devotion to her family, her love for discovering the world, and her joyful companionship with Bryan, her partner in all things. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a local animal shelter in honor of her love for Harrison the Cat.
