Lindsay Renee Ackman-Grayer

Lindsay Renee Ackman-Grayer June 25, 1984 - July 25, 2015 Lindsay Renee Ackman - Grayer, age 31, of Elkton, died unexpectedly on July 25, 2015 at her home. Born in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, she grew up in Streamwood, Illinois and moved to St. Augustine after graduating from high school. She later graduated from St. Johns Community College with a degree as a LPN and worked as a nurse at St. Augustine Health and Rehab Center. Lindsay was an intelligent and hard working young woman. While continuing to work as a L.P.N. and also working a second job at the Columbia Restaurant, she continued working toward her degree as a Registered Nurse from Jersey College in Jacksonville, graduating in 2013. After her graduation from Jersey College, Lindsay began working as a RN at Putnam Community Medical Center in Palatka and was quickly promoted to charge nurse. Beyond her work life, Lindsay's life was raising her sons. She will be remembered as a beloved daughter, mother, wife, sister, and friend to many, and she will be deeply missed. She is survived by her husband, Ahmah Rashad Grayer; sons, Ahmah Rashad Grayer, Jr., Amarion Edward Grayer, Amarius Devon Grayer all of Elkton; her mother, Jodie Ackman (George Green) of Hastings; father, Douglas Edward Ackman of Carpenterville, IL; maternal grandparents, Nick & Sandra Bakun of Elkton; sisters, Amanda Marie Ackman - Legenza (Mark) and Megan Lynn Ackman, both of Chicago, Illinois; father in law, Edward Grayer, Sr. (Rochelle); sister in laws, Diane Grayer, Michelle Grayer, Martinnett Grayer, Edwina Grayer, Jasmine Johnson, Telena Wheller, and Darlene Sippio; brothers in law, Shauneel Grayer (Sandra), Edward Grayer, Jr., Parvaus Grayer, Christian Grayer and Jamar Carter, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at St. Johns Family Funeral Home. A visitation, beginning at 2:00 p.m., will precede the service.
