Kay Paul Kallos

Kay Paul Kallos, 87, of St. Augustine, passed away on January 7, 2021 at her home with her family by her side. She was born and raised in Mazotos, Cyprus and married her husband, James Paul at age 14. The couple moved to New York and moved to Miami, Fl 3 years later where they raised their family. From 1959-1973 they owned and operated The Golden Fountain Restaurant, which they took much pride in. After her husband passed away in 1980 she remarried, Angelo Kallos and the couple lived in Greece until he passed in 2002 and she moved back to Miami to be close to her family. She was a member at Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Church Cathedral for many years and most recently a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church after moving to St. Augustine 7 years ago. Kay found much joy in making dresses and cooking and baking with her family. She was very caring and such a loving person, her family always came first. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Paul, Jr. Molfetas (George); son, James Paul Jr.; grandchildren, Kay (Peter), Sophia (Peter), James (Heather), Andrew, Antonios (Vicki), Martha (Michelle), Zachary, Sean (Jennifer) and great grandchildren, James T, Ryan T, Adrienne Patricia and Elijah. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Paul, Sr.; second husband, Angelo Kallos; parents, Michael Papa-Michael Panteli and Eleni Papa-Michael her siblings and uncle, Stasis Panteli. A funeral will be held at 3 pm on Monday, January 11, 2021 at The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with a visitation preceding the service from 2-3pm. Burial service will be at 2:30 pm Friday, January 15, 2021 at Cabellero Rivero Woodlawn North Cemetery in Miami, Florida. In keeping with the CDC Coronavirus guidelines every attendee must wear a mask and the number of attendees may be restricted. We ask that if you are at high risk, feeling ill, or traveling from an area with a high level of infection, please do not attend the service.
