Frances L. Williams

Frances L. Williams, 76, of Brunswick, GA, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2024 at the Bailey Family Center for Caring, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and compassion that will be forever cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know her. Frances was born on March 6, 1948, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to the late William Jay and Eva Spencer. After graduation, Frances completed a year of college before starting a family and being a wonderful stay at home mother, later in life she embarked on a fulfilling career as a paraprofessional in the McIntosh County School System. For over 14 years, she dedicated herself to enriching the lives of students and colleagues alike, leaving an indelible mark on the educational community. Frances's commitment to serving others extended far beyond the classroom. As a devoted member of Blythe Island Baptist Church, she was actively involved in various church ministries, sharing her faith and compassion with all who crossed her path. Her generous spirit knew no bounds, and Frances could often be found volunteering with numerous organizations dedicated to helping those in need. She also loved to help her friends in her community, taking them to various appointments and such. She approached every opportunity to make a difference with unwavering enthusiasm and kindness. In her leisure time, Frances found joy in the company of animals, she particularly loved turtles. She delighted in caring for them and found solace in the simple beauty of nature. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Bill Spencer and Joseph Spencer, and her sisters: Vivian Cook and Edith Schwiger Frances will be deeply missed by her loving family, including her children, Ben L. Williams (Beverly), Traverse City, MI, Amanda R. Carlo (Joey), St. Augustine, Joseph F. Williams (Ashley), St. Johns, Jennifer F. Horne, Front Royal, VA; sisters, Nita Shepherd, Belton, TX, Lena Creasy, Hot Springs, AR, Bonnie Reddig, Gainesville, FL; brother, Wayne Spencer, Hot Springs, AR; grandchildren, Zachary, Justin, Sara, Nicole, Vikki, Mazie, Elijah and Madison; great-grandchildren, Oliver, Harrison, and Knoxx. A memorial service to celebrate Frances's life will be held at 2pm on May 4, 2024, at Blythe Island Baptist Church in Brunswick, GA with Pastors Tim Brown and Jeff St. Clair officiating. Flowers – Daffodils were her favorite flower – Delivering to Blythe Island Baptist Church prior to 3pm on Friday, May 3, 2024. Though she may no longer be with us, Frances's spirit will continue to live on in the countless lives she touched, reminding us always of the power of love, compassion, and selflessness.
