Cecile Couture April 2, 1942 - October 30, 2015 Cecile L Couture (1942 - 2015): It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cecile L. Couture, of Jacksonville, FL, who died peacefully on October 30th following a courageous three-year battle with Ovarian Cancer. Cecile was born in Augusta, ME on April 2, 1942, daughter to the late Lucienne Doyon and Adrian Couture. After spending her childhood years in Augusta, Cecile moved to Florida where she was employed by the Department of Motor Vehicle and Highway Safety as a supervisor, and in her later years at Bug Out in Jacksonville. Upon her retirement, she worked part time at Bent Creek Golf Course in Jacksonville where she made many friends and enjoyed golfing with the Bent Creek Ladies Association. In addition to her parents, Cecile was predeceased by her brother, Paul Couture, grandson, James, and niece, Jennifer Couture. She is survived by her loving daughters, Tamera A Hayes and Samantha Oliver of Jacksonville, FL, and Lisa Charette of Presque Isle, ME, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren; Her loving sisters, Lorraine Hopper and her special brother-in-law Ralph Hopper of Deland, FL, and Madeline Kilmister of Augusta, ME; Loving brothers, Joe Couture and his wife Sharon of DeBary, FL, and Gil Couture and his wife Debbie of Orange City, FL: And her special Aunt and Godmother Topin Beaudoin and Edna Doyon. She also leaves behind many wonderful nieces, nephews, and cousins and was forever grateful to Jerry Thibeau, Michelle Hagan and Scott Thibeau for the many memories they shared over the last few years of her life. Cecile was thankful to spend the last two summers of her life in Maine, and loved the time she was able to spend with her sisters, brothers and other family members as well as many good friends. She was a member of the Calumet Club and the Maine Women's State Golf Association, and enjoyed many rounds of golf with friends at Natanis Golf Course. Cecile's family and friends will forever miss her beautiful smile, genuine laughter and the mischievous twinkle in her eye. Services will be private at a future date.
