Carole Delp

Carole Delp, 66, of St. Augustine, Florida, passed away on October 13, 2024, at Flagler Hospital. Born in Billingham, England, Carole moved to Zephyrhills, Florida, in 1991, where she lived for many years before relocating to St. Augustine four years ago. A dedicated registered nurse for 23 years, Carole devoted her career to caring for others before retiring to focus on her passions and family. She was known for her generous heart, preparing traditional English dinners for her loved ones, and her voracious appetite for books, cinema and games. Carole was also a believer with unwavering faith, and she had many stories of her testimony. She found peace in art and leaves an array of serene sunsets and oceanic views for all to admire. A true warrior on many levels, Carole was a black belt in Taekwondo, and embodied strength and resilience in all areas of her life. However, Carole’s greatest pride and joy was her family. She was fiercely dedicated to those she loved both near and far; she gave her love selflessly and without condition. She is preceded in death by her mother, Joyce James; her brother, Kevin James; and her beloved daughter, Jaqueline Delp. Carole is survived by her husband of 35 years, Donald Delp, of St. Augustine; her father, Eric James, of Billingham, England; and her children, Victoria Hallberg (Eric) of St. Augustine, Derek Jeannette of Northern Ireland, Jenifer Gilbert (Michael) of Evansville, Indiana, and Justin Delp (Brandi) of Indianapolis, Indiana. She is also survived by her brothers, Alan and Stephen James of England, and her cherished grandchildren, Ethan, Ella, Aidan, Derek, Ashton, Dawson, Megan, Noah (Tabatha), Jackson, Braxton, and Eli. A memorial service to honor Carole’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at St. Johns Family Funeral Home. Arrangements are being handled by St. Johns Family Funeral Home and Crematory. Flowers are welcome or the family asks that you consider a donation to a charity of your choice in Carole’s memory. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her…heaven has gained an angel, but the world has lost a beautiful soul.
