Aaron Michael Rynn, born on June 20, 1997, in the sun-drenched town of Key West, Florida, was a beacon of light and warmth to everyone fortunate enough to encounter him. On August 28, 2026, we lost this exceptional soul, yet his memory will forever illuminate the lives of those he touched. Aaron was the cherished son of Don Rynn and Rita Salazar, and the beloved brother to Ocean McCook (Shawn), Summer Rynn, and Joslynn Schmermund. He is predeceased by his grandparents Edward and Patricia Rynn, and Harold and Mary Lou Combs, as well as his brother Sinjin Haney. A graduate of Pedro Menendez High School, Aaron pursued his passion for the sea with unwavering dedication, becoming a respected captain of commercial fishing vessels. His career as a Longline Boat captain and longtime first mate aboard the f/v Seahawk was more than a job; it was where he found his true calling. Aaron spent his life doing what he loved most-fishing-and he wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Aaron's heart was as vast as the oceans he sailed. Known for his generous spirit, he was always ready to lend a helping hand, or even the shirt off his back. His laughter was infectious, and his ability to light up any room was unparalleled. Aaron's outgoing nature and kindheartedness made him truly one of a kind, and he meant the world to those who knew and loved him. Beyond his professional life, Aaron was an avid fisherman who relished every moment spent on the water or enjoying the company of friends in a mud hole. He treasured time with his sisters and friends, creating memories that will forever be cherished. His love for fishing was only matched by his love for those close to him. A service to honor Aaron's memory will be held on September 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Johns Family Funeral Home, located at 385 State Road 207, St. Augustine, Florida 32084. Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of a remarkable young man who made the world brighter with his presence.
