Timothy Dean Clayton

November 8, 1958 - March 4, 2022

Timothy “Tim” Dean Clayton, age 63, of St. Augustine passed away unexpectedly on March 4, 2022, at his home in St. Augustine. Tim was born in St. Augustine and at the age 5yrs old he moved with his family to Climax, GA. He later returned to St. Augustine, FL where he graduated from St. Augustine High School with the class of 1977. Tim’s First job was working for Publix where he worked in the meat department. He worked in carpentry for a short time until finding the work that he truly loved sitting behind the wheel of a tractor trailer. Tim enjoyed his work as a truck driver for more than a decade, working for several trucking companies during his career. Tim was easy going and very loving. He enjoyed quiet time and playing the lottery and was a huge Georgia Bulldog fan. More than anything, Tim loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his mother, Minna Dean Clayton. He is survived by his daughter; Christy Lofley (Dan Sheffield) of Lithia, FL.; a son, Josh Clayton (Polly) of Plant City, FL.; his father, Marvin Clayton of St. Augustine, FL.; sisters, Karen Clayton of St. Augustine, FL., Lynda Clayton of Alpharetta, GA.; brothers, Billy Clayton (Debbie) of New Tazewell, TN., Randy Clayton (Robbin) of Middleburg, FL. and grandchildren: Trenton, Ashlyn, Daniel, Garrett, and Cole. Private services will be held.
