Martin Wade Lewis

September 21, 1945 - January 3, 2022

Writing an obituary for a man bigger than life itself is not an easy task. Martin Wade Lewis, a true Texan at heart met his wife & love of his life, Diane Maurno,a New Yorker, in Miami in 1989 when they both had careers in the Film Industry. They made St Augustine their home in 1994. He was a strong leader in the community, an advocate of the Arts & a published author. His life for 76 years was filled with vast changes. Changes of hats, so to speak. No one did it better & he excelled in every one of them. The admiration & respect for this man from the St Augustine Community as well as the acting community of Miami where he was a beloved Talent Agent is overwhelming. A Celebration of Life Memorial in a historic setting of St Augustine will be most fitting. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Diane Maurno, his beloved son, Wade Lewis & his wife, DeeAnn from Dallas, as well as his beloved acquired Miami family, Tom Maurno, his wife Sharon & their 3 children, Zachary, Kyle & Taylor Rose, who knew him as Grandpa Marty. His range of interests ranged from music, history, & the Arts & his remarkable use of words. He will be remembered for his dignity, dry sense of humor, intelligence & talent & his profound love of people & desire to help them. To list his many awards & accomplishments is unnecessary. Those that knew him knew. Rest In Peace Marty Lewis. You will be missed. St Johns Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
