Jennifer Stacey Hyland

September 24, 1971 - June 21, 2022

Jennifer Hyland, 50, of St. Augustine Beach, passed away peacefully on June 21st, 2022, at home with her children at her side. Jennifer was born in Clarksdale, MS and grew up in the Chicago suburbs. After graduating Elgin High School in 1990, she began work as a hostess at Carlos Sweeney’s where she met her future husband. Jennifer had two beautiful children, Austin and Ashlee, while earning a living as a legal secretary. In 2010 Jennifer moved to St. Augustine for a fresh start with her children and her mother by her side. Jennifer’s life passion was watching her children pursue their talents. She spent countless hours cheering at her son’s baseball games and watching him with pride as he earned his black belt in karate. Ashlee’s passion and talent for dance brought Jennifer endless happiness. Jennifer continued to work as a legal secretary until an opportunity arose to become the office manager of The Dance Company where her daughter danced. She became a dance mom to all and quickly became a part of The Dance Company family. The overwhelming love, support, and generosity of this extended family as Jennifer battled breast cancer will never be forgotten by those who love her. Jennifer was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend and she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her son, Austin Hyland; daughter, Ashlee Hyland; mother, Donna Harrington and her husband Randy David; and her brother, Christopher Harrington. Private services will be held. St. Johns Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
