Jenifer Allison Bennett

Jenifer “Allison” Bennett age 63, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2022 at 6:46 A.M. at the Bailey Family Center for Caring in St. Augustine, Florida. Born in San Antonio, Texas, where her father was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base, Allison’s family moved to Houston when she was one year old. She was a 1977 graduate of Spring Woods High School in Houston. Allison attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, where she majored in business with a minor in accounting. She met her husband-to-be, Michael Bennett, in Houston while at the Astrodome. It was not “love at first sight,” but Michael was persistent to win a chance, so he sent her flowers every day! They were married on October 26, 1985, in Houston, Texas at St Michael’s Catholic Church. During their marriage they lived in several states, including Texas, North Carolina, Arizona, Colorado, and Mississippi before returning to Houston. They re-located to Vancouver, Washington for a short time before moving to St. Augustine in 2010. In 2009, Jenifer Allison founded Jenifer Enterprises, an advertising firm. She was an avid photographer and was a member of the St. Augustine Camera Club, serving as secretary. She enjoyed going to the beach, gardening and spending time with her family and especially with her beloved grandsons. She was a true animal lover, helping all that crossed her path. Allison was also a member of the historic Cathedral Basilica, downtown St. Augustine. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Allison is survived by her husband of 37 years, Michael Bennett of St. Augustine; daughters, Michelle Dawodi (Rami) of Palm Bay and Lauren Quinn (Ethan) of St. Augustine; son, Michael Brandon Bennett of St. Augustine; sister, Mindy Rodriguez (Oscar) of St. Augustine; brothers, David Cozart of St. Augustine; and Chris Cozart of Dallas, Texas; and her grandchildren, Taylor Grace, Adam, Jacob and Joseph Dawodi, and Spencer and Ezra Quinn. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at St. Johns Family Funeral Home. Interment will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery. A visitation will take place from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2022 at St. Johns Family Funeral Home. Arrangements are in the care of St. Johns Family Funeral Home.
