James Lyle Rockenbach

January 30, 1942 - March 10, 2022

James Lyle Rockenbach, 80, of St. Johns, Florida, passed away on March 10th, 2022. Jim is survived by his wife Margie Rockenbach, his sister Jill Jack, his brother, Jeff (Jackie) Rockenbach, his four children, Serenity (Mark) Zander, Travis (Jennifer) Allinson, James (Billie) Rockenbach Jr., Tamara Allinson-Fitts and his 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Jim was born in Detroit, MI and grew up in Pittsburg, PA. He attended Princeton University where he wrestled and played football and graduated with an Electrical Engineering degree. Jim went on to Northwestern University, where he earned a Masters degree in Business Administration. Jim worked for Ring Power Corporation for 29 years and retired as Vice President of the Engine division. Jim loved golfing, riding his motorcycle, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren and Great Grands, but his fulfillment was his time with Kairos Prison Ministries and serving in his church as lay preacher and Sunday School teacher. A memorial service will be held for Jim at Switzerland Community Church, 2179 State Road 13, in St. Johns, Florida, on Saturday, March 19th, 2022. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Jim asked to send contributions to: Kairos Prison Ministries, P.O.
