H. John Massey

H. John Massey was born on June 1st, 1946 to natural parents Herbert & Pearl Massey, in Kingston, Jamaica. After a month long battle and complications with Covid, on September 8th, at Advent Health in Orlando, in the afternoon, John, dad, Pops, Uncle, Grandpa, our precious loved one, stepped into eternity, to be with His precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Im sure greeted by many beloved family members in glory. Faith assures us that he is now more alive than he ever has been, as a friend rightly noted, to be “absent from the body, is to be present with our Lord”, as the Christian Bible teaches. On the day of his passing, and before confessing a final "I love you" from failing lungs due to bacterial infection, covid and a lifetime struggle with asthma, his too beautiful wife of ten years, Andrea Massey, held his hand and face as she made sure loved ones could also share brief final moments by phone after he slipped into an induced coma, and then eternity. His passing seemed too fast; but this body, in exchange for a new and eternal perfect one, was part of an expected treasure in such an event as this: We can each imagine John rejoicing loudly! Siblings who witnessed these first hand include the survived: Marjory, Peter, Pat, Christopher, Elizabeth, Patrick and Mark; along with now three adult sons and daughter-inloves, Jon Damion (Nini), Brett Anthony (Vassana), & Gareth Ricardo, oldest to youngest, garnering ten grandchildren. Also the Chins & Phillips (in Canada), children, Jason (Meredith), Christopher (Tricia), Christine (Wesley), and Nicole (RT). Grandchildren: Abi Gordon, Caleb, Brianne, Chloe, Talia, Olivia, Christian, Kira, Caden, Christa; and in the United States, bearing the Massey, adopted son Jordan; Grandchildren, Jordan, Joshua, Julia, Ezekiel, Lela, Camille, Jasmine, Caleb, Camy-Bella, Alyssa & Elijah.
