Fredrick Kenneth Brown III

June 2, 1958 - January 8, 2022

Fredrick Kenneth Brown III, 63, St. Augustine, passed away in the company of his family on Jan. 1, 2022 at Kindred Hospital North Florida after a lengthy illness. He was born in Atlanta, GA, son of Fredrick Kenneth Brown II and the late Sarah Lou Ehle. Fred moved to St. Augustine from Buford, GA 12 years ago and was a former resident of Decatur, GA. Fred was a renowned piano tuner/technician , member of the PTG and worked with famous celebrities during his career. He was a longtime member of the Mountain West Church of God in Stone Mountain, GA and in St. Augustine was active in the music ministry at Transformation Church of God. Fred never met a stranger and had a heart for God. Fred loved soccer, sailing and music. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A celebration of his life will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday January 22, 2022 at St. Johns Family Funeral Home. For those unable to attend services will be livestreamed via this link: https://iframe.dacast.com/b/156599/c/549019 He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Kathy (Johns) Slappey Brown of St. Augustine; children, Angi Brown and Jessi Gonzalez (Mike), and David Slappey, St. Augustine; A sister, Jo Harpring, three brothers, Charles Brown, Michael Brown and TK, ; two grandsons, Axel and Ryland Slappey and numerous nieces and nephews. St. Johns Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
