Denice M Taylor-Howze

Denice Mazrine Taylor-Howze was born October 26, 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Reverend Harvey DeLeroy Taylor and Bernice Ruth Taylor. In 1970, she graduated from Northwestern High School in Detroit, Michigan. She attended Wayne State University and was a graduate of Atlanta Institute of Aesthetics in Atlanta, Georgia. Denice was a loving and devoted wife to her husband and soulmate, Kenneth Howze, whom she met in 1973. She is mother to Biquel and Rashad, and adopted son, Brandon. Denice, affectionately called "CoCo" by Sierra, Stefan, Jalynn, Joshus, and Brayden, displayed unwavering devotion to her grandchildren. She genuinely relished each chance to instill in all children an affection for education, family, history, music and culture. She enthusiastically took every opportunity to convey these passions to her relatives, particularly her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Denice never stopped learning and was deeply committed to personal growth and development. She was a champion of Education serving the community as an elected member of the Ferndale Public Schools Board of Education. Denice served as HR Representative for Charles Davis and Associates in Detroit, Michigan and as a Human Resource Manager for Plastech Corporation in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. She cared for every employee and truly enjoyed meeting people who were new to the USA and took pride in learning about their countries and unique cultures. Upon relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, she attended the Atlanta Institute of Aesthetics and became a licensed esthetician. She furthered her training at A!A and became a Georgia State Certified Instructor of Aesthetics. Denice started her State licensed skincare business in 2015 using her own line of natural chemical free skin care products. She relocated to Jacksonville, Florida and started a licensed skincare business, also instructing students of aesthetics. Denice's home was always a place of warmth, love, unity, celebration, and family fun. She had a strong enthusiasm for maintaining a healthy lifestyle and was eager to impart her knowledge to those who also embraced a similar passion and appreciation for life. Her kitchen was a place of laughter, music, games and always great conversation. There was never a dull moment and those memories will serve as a source of strength as we navigate the years to come. Denice wanted everyone she met to know "there is nothing you can not accomplish". She was always everyone's greatest cheerleader. She truly understood that you get one chance to make an impact on the world. She understood the mission for which she had been called; to serve her family, the community and the world. To leave the world better than you found it and leave her footprints in the "sands of time". Denice did not only have a beautiful heart, she had a beautiful soul.
