Carol A. Linnell

Carol A. Linnell, 83, of St Augustine, passed away Monday, December 7, 2020 at Flagler Hospital. Carol was born and raised in Brockton, Massachusetts and graduated from local schools. Following her graduation, she participated in Flight Attendant School and served as a Flight Attendant for a brief time before meeting her husband-to-be Albert. Albert and Carol’s work managing apartment complexes would take them around the state of Massachusetts. A career change to a camp ranger for the Boy Scouts of America brought Albert and Carol to Connecticut. Carol later went on to work in the food industry for the Canton school system. After semi-retiring to Florida, Al and Carol took a seasonal job managing the North Beach Campground in Burlington, Vermont. Carol had a gift for loving others and never met a stranger. Once you became her friend you became family. She was a devoted wife and mother, she loved animals and her two dogs; PC and later Tia, her companion following Al’s passing. Carol was a member of TOPS, the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, and Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She is going to be missed by all who knew her. Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Albert F. Linnell and a sister, Gail Sala. She is survived by her son Albert F. Linnell, Jr. (Diane) of Hastings, FL; nephew, George Sala (Debbie) of Sagamore, MA; great nieces, Lauren Rogers and Brianna Lopes, as well as many dear and close friends. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 6:00 PM at Hineni Messianic Fellowship 1797 Old Moultrie Rd # 102, St. Augustine, FL 32084. The family requests that all CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19 are followed, such as wearing masks and social distancing should you attend the service.
