Betty Jo London Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Betty Jo (Rials) London, 90, passed peacefully May 30th at Riverside Cottages in St. Augustine. She was born in Medon, TN to Charles M Rials and Lois Harrison Rials. She graduated from high school in Jackson, TN before attending Business College there. After marrying in 1951 she moved to Memphis where her only daughter was born. Betty moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1967 where she was a homemaker and loving mother. During her years in Jacksonville, she worked as a secretary in the Energy Audit Department of JEA. She moved to St. Augustine in 2009 to be closer to her daughter and son-in-law and her longtime love, Byron Berg. Betty was an avid gardener and was very creative and artistic, painting on canvas and china and making beautiful jewelry. She loved to visit new places, earning her the nickname of “Betty Go”, and she traveled extensively. A true southern lady with a flair for fashion and style, she charmed everyone she met with her warmth and humor. She was fun-loving and vivacious and always, always kind. Betty is survived by her loving daughter, Lisa and beloved son-in-law Bill Lane. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother Carroll M. Rials. Services will be private. Those wishing to make contributions may do so to St. Jude Children's Hospital, her favorite charity. St Johns Family Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
