Anthony Leon Bunting

Anthony Leon Bunting, age 55, passed away unexpectedly on May 31, 2022, at his home in St. Johns, FL. Anthony was born on February 27, 1967, in Conway, AR to parents Leon Bunting and Charlene Benton. Growing up in Conway, he was a 1985 graduate of Conway High School. He joined the US Navy right out of high school and served four years as a reservist before active duty called him for another 20 years. Anthony retired in 2014 as a Senior Chief and had received numerous commendations, citations, awards, and medals. After retiring for service, Anthony continued serving as a civil servant working as a Lead Structural Planner for the US Navy at Mayport. He enjoyed being at home, tinkering on things around the house, and spending time with his family. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Jacksonville. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Charlene Benton, his father, Leon Bunting, both of Conway, AR; his fiancé', Cyndi Wilkins of St. Johns, FL; son, Marquise McAdory-Bunting of Jacksonville, FL; brothers, Kenneth Benton (Amy) of Seguin, TX; Wayne Bunting (Audria) of Atlanta, GA; and Chris Bunting (Jennifer Harrison) of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by a daughter, Tori; sons, Jared and Austin; a grandson, Israel, as well as a host of Uncles/Aunts/Nieces and Nephews and extended family members. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Bethel Baptist Church in Jacksonville. A visitation, beginning at 10 am will precede the service.
