Roy Peacock

In Loving Memory of Roy Peacock 7/6/1943-9/8/2025 Roy Peacock, 82, of St. Augustine, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Roy was born on July 6, 1943, in MacClenny, Florida, to the late Doye and Oreda Peacock. He grew up along the shores of Jacksonville Beach, where his love for the outdoors and the water began. After finishing school, Roy went on to work with Westwind Construction, a career that gave him both pride and lifelong friendships. On March 6, 1962, Roy married the love of his life, Frances, in Nahunta, Georgia. Their marriage of 63 years was a true partnership, built on love, devotion, and shared laughter. Together, they raised four wonderful children—Angela, David, Debbie, and Susan—and later moved their family to St. Augustine in 1980, where they made their home and created many cherished memories. Roy was a man who found his greatest happiness in the simple things of life. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, hobbies that kept him connected to nature and often gave him stories to share with his friends and family. He also enjoyed a good card game, where his quick wit and good humor were always present. Above all, his family was his pride and joy, and his happiest moments were spent surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a loyal friend. His legacy of love, hard work, and kindness will live on through those who were blessed to know him. Roy is survived by his wife, Frances Peacock; his children, Angela Peacock Reed (Scott), David Peacock (Tiffany), Debbie Peacock Shand (Mark), and Susan Peacock Dugan (Jim); seven grandchildren, Justin Reed, Tyler Pellicer, Mark Shand Jr., Annah Payne, Tobilynn Peacock, James Dugan, and Hannah Dugan; and six great-grandchildren, Dalton, Aubri, Taelyn, Tensley, Timber, and Tobias. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doye and Oreda Peacock. Though Roy will be deeply missed, his family takes comfort in knowing his spirit will remain with them always.
