Rosemarie Fink

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rosemarie Fink, who left this world peacefully on July 18, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on March 30, 1938, in Baltimore, Maryland, Rosemarie lived a full and vibrant life filled with love, family, and dedication to her work. Rosie graduated from Eastern High School in 1956, where she met the love of her life, Charles Fink. The couple married on May 28, 1957, embarking on a journey together that would span more than six decades. Throughout her career, Rosie held positions as a clerk and later as a secretary for Baltimore Gas & Electric. She contributed her talents as an Administrative Assistant at Johns Hopkins University before moving to St. Louis, where she continued her career at Washington University until her retirement in 2001. In 2016, she became a resident of St. Johns, Florida. Rosie had a zest for life that was evident in everything she did. She loved to dance and b-bop around—whether she was doing laundry or ironing, dusting the house, riding in the car, or shopping. While she was notorious for not wanting to spend money, she had a real love for shopping, especially when it came to sifting through clothing racks in search of a hidden gem. She also had a passion for travel, enjoying memorable trips with friends throughout the United States and Europe. Though cooking was never her favorite activity—something she openly admitted—Rosie had a well-known sweet tooth. If given the choice, she would have gladly skipped a meal in favor of dessert, especially anything with chocolate. She was also an avid reader and found joy in listening to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren read aloud to her. Rose’s sharp wit and infectious humor could brighten any room. Whether cracking a joke or delivering a quick quip, she always had a way of making others smile, and her clever sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her. Rosie never met a stranger. She had a natural gift for storytelling and loved sharing memories from her younger days. Always on the move, she could often be found running errands, helping others with their chores, taking a walk, shopping, or enjoying time with her grandkids and great-grandchildren. Above all, Rosie cherished her family. She adored her four grandchildren—Jennifer Muller, Justin Iwaniszyn, Bryan Iwaniszyn, and Rebecca Iwaniszyn—and took immense pride in each of their accomplishments. Her six great-grandchildren—Skylar, McKenna, Kamilla, Isla, Bradley, and Maya—brought her endless joy, and she was eagerly looking forward to welcoming her seventh great-grandchild, expected in October. Rosie's legacy of love, humor, and resilience lives on in each of them. Rosie is survived by her devoted husband, Charles Fink, her sister, Linda Driscoll, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of love and memories that will be treasured by all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit and love will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. Rosemarie was preceded in death by: her parents Joseph Uhlik and Jeanette Ztasiewicz, brother Donald Uhlik, and loving daughter Teresa Fink.
