Robert "Roby" Vincent Baird Jr.

Robert Vincent Baird Jr., affectionately known as Roby, entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on July 31, 2025, at the age of 52, after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer. Born on February 16, 1973, in St. Augustine, Florida, Roby was the beloved son of Robert Vincent Baird Sr. and Frankie Boothe Baird Watts, and a lifelong resident of his cherished hometown. A proud graduate of St. Augustine High School, Class of 1991, Roby built a career as a real estate broker before answering a higher calling as a minister, devoting his life to sharing the Gospel with passion and love. Roby’s deep affection for the Lord was evident in every aspect of his life. He ministered with joy, compassion, and unwavering faith, touching countless lives through his words and deeds. His family was his greatest joy, and the relationships he nurtured were a testament to his generous spirit and enduring love. He is survived by his loving wife, Ilona Baird of St. Augustine; children Deanna Rowson (Daniel) of Salina, KS, Jasmine Davis (Timothy) of St. Augustine, Kylee Baird of St. Augustine, Robert Garrison Baird of Wilmington, NC, and Rhema Baird of St. Augustine; his mother Frankie Boothe Baird Watts (Dennis) of Mandarin; father Robert V. Baird Sr. (Priscilla) of St. Augustine; stepchildren Fidelix Ikejiora Shiller, Benjamin Ikejiora, and Kylie Ikejiora all of whom reside in Sweden; sisters Mitzi Ann Martinez, Angela Cooksey (Mark), Heather Lynn Baird Hunter, and Holly “Coleslaw” Baird, all of St. Augustine; grandchildren Jasper Trinity Davis, Eliza Joy Davis, Archer Lee Rowson, River Wyatt Rowson, Arlo Shepherd Davis, Julian Ikejiora Shiller, Silas Gabriel Davis, and Sawyer Vincent Rowson; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Good News Church, 1357 Wildwood Dr., St. Augustine, FL 32086, with Roby's uncle, Rev. Jody Boothe, officiating. A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., preceding the service. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. Committal services will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Craig Memorial Park.
