Richard Alan Stafford

Richard “Ricky” Alan Stafford, 64, of St Augustine,Florida passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning September 26,2023 in St.Augustine, Florida with his family by his side at Community Hospice Bailey Center. Rick was born in Hialeah, Fl. to Grace Arlene Greenhaw Stafford and Ervin Junior “ EJ” Stafford on September 19, 1959. He graduated from Columbia High School in Lake City, Class of 1977, and went on to work a successful career in the construction industry. Rick was a devoted partner for 32 years. He was a brother, a proud father, grandfather, uncle, and most recently great grandfather. Sharing his love for racing, hunting, fishing and wisdom with his babies was his passion. Ricky is preceded in death by his father Ervin Junior “EJ” Stafford and two brothers William “Bill” Stafford and Charles Stafford. Rick is survived by his loving family that adored him; His mother, Grace Arlene Stafford, his wife, Charlette Walker, his children, Rick Stafford Jr (Amy) and Tammy Stafford, step daughter, Tracy (Rick) DeBacker. His sisters, Darlene (Bernie) Lane, Debbie( Larry) Collins and MaryAnn (Melvin) Sheppard. His Grandchildren, Shaylee Stafford, Kaley (Brandon) Sanders, Karson (Lucas) Burch, and Jess (Lauryn) and Brandi Burchfield. His Great grandson, “Grady T” Burch. His Nieces and Nephews, Rodney Creech , Shawn (Danielle) Creech, Bridget (Sean) Adams, Jared (Stephanie) Lane, Joshua (Katie) Collins, Natalie Stafford, Katie (Chris) Bozek, Pete Bishop, Patrick McCubbins, Brian McCubbins and (Kyndal) and many more great nieces and nephews. Thank you, from the bottoms of our hearts, to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Baptist South Hospital and the Bailey Hospice team, for providing benevolent care to Rick. We are also grateful to all of the home-care personnel, who came to our home daily, weekly and/or monthly to help care for Rick. We were blessed with compassionate caretakers and family and friends over the past 7 years, who graciously assisted Charlette. For that we are eternally grateful. Visitation will be 3:00pm Friday October 6, 2023 at St.Johns Family Funeral Home, 385 State Rd 207, St Augustine, Fl 32084 Memorial service will be held 4:00pm Friday October 6,2023 at St Johns Family Funeral Home , 385 State Rd 207, St Augustine Fl. 32084. Chris Vogel life long friend will officiate services.
