Pauline Claire Pellerin

Pauline Claire Pellerin, 99, of Saint Johns, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2025, at her home surrounded by her beloved children. Born on October 4, 1925, in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, to the late Adrien and Diane deMontigny, Pauline lived a life rich with love, faith, and cherished memories. In 1943, while working at her family’s general store, Pauline met Jacques, the love of her life. The moment Jacques walked in and saw Pauline, he knew she was the one he would marry. The couple wed in 1944, beginning a partnership that would span over 70 years. In 1959, Pauline and Jacques moved to Miami, Florida, where she embraced a new culture and learned English. In 2015, she made her home in St. Augustine, where Pauline continued to live a fulfilling life. Pauline was a world traveler, experiencing new cultures with her family and always appreciating the beauty of life. She had an unparalleled love for her family, especially her five children, who were her pride and joy. She always put her family first, making sure they knew they were deeply loved and cherished. Pauline was also an accomplished cook and baker, often preparing delicious meals and cakes for her children. Known for her elegance and style, Pauline had a kind, loving nature that made her beloved by everyone she met. She was deeply religious, saying her prayers every night and attending Mass every Sunday. If she couldn’t be present in person, she would watch Mass online. She was a devoted member of the Cathedral Basilica in St. Augustine. In addition to her love for her family, Pauline enjoyed gardening, reading, playing poker, and indulging in her favorite pastime—Candy Crush. She will be remembered for her warmth, her unwavering faith, and her generous spirit. Pauline is survived by her five children, who were all equally her favorites, Nicole Stump, Michel Pellerin, Denis Pellerin (Starr), Helene Pellerin-Quinlan (Terry), Jacques Pellerin (Dawn); sister, Orise DeMontigny; brother, Andre deMontigny; grandchildren, Salome Wyman, Ronald Stump, Michelle Stump, Monique Cuadros, Philippe Pellerin, Adrien Pellerin, Michelle Pellerin, Jean-Luc Pellerin and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacques Pellerin; son in law, Ronald Stump, 1 sister and 6 brothers. A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at St. Johns Family Funeral Home with Father Mack officiating.
