Paul Atria

Paul J. Atria, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, businessman, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on April 11, 1953, Paul was a proud graduate of Bridgewater-Raritan High School West in Bridgewater, New Jersey, where he was a celebrated wrestling star. From an early age, Paul had a natural determination, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a gift for connecting with people—qualities that would follow him throughout his life. Paul was a true businessman and entrepreneur who poured his heart into everything he built. Over the years, he owned and operated numerous beloved businesses, including Sip N Sub in Whitehouse, New Jersey; Little Italy in Hallandale, Florida; All Services in Gainesville, Florida; Sip N Sub Pub in Gainesville; The Italian Market & Ristorante in Gainesville; and Trenton Roadside BBQ in Trenton, Florida. In 2005, Paul married his beloved wife, Carol N. Atria. He was a loving father to Paul Charles Atria and Victoria Atria-Forst, wife of Ted Forst, and a proud grandfather to Theodore “Teddy” and Broderick “Brody” Forst. He is also survived by his brothers, Jim Atria and Joe Atria, and his niece Jennifer and nephews, Jamie, Michael, JoJo, and Justin Atria. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Vincent Atria and Margaret Racioppi Atria. Paul found joy in the simple things—building models, tinkering around the house, cooking, gardening, fishing, and feeding his beloved deer. He could often be found outside working on a project with his music blaring, happily enjoying life on his own terms. Paul had a contagious smile that could fill a room, and people remembered him wherever he went. He was kind-hearted, funny, and always able to bring laughter to those around him. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a love that will continue through the family and friends who knew him. Go live your best life in Heaven. Turn the music up, find a project to tinker with, make a pizza pie, plant a garden, cast a fishing line, and maybe find a few deer to feed. This isn't goodbye. This is see you later. As those close to him would say, “Italians never die, they just pasta away.”
