In Loving Memory of Pat Reames On July 4, 2025, the world lost a truly remarkable woman-my mother, Pat Reames. After a courageous and unwavering battle with cancer that lasted over four years, she passed away peacefully, surrounded by the strength, love, and dignity that defined her life. Pat was the strongest woman I've ever known-fiercely independent, determined, and endlessly caring. She was a successful businesswoman who carved her own path. She owned and operated her own real estate company, managed properties with precision and care, and helped countless people through her work as a tax preparer. Her professional life was a testament to her intelligence, work ethic, and drive. But her impact extended far beyond business. Pat had a generous spirit and a heart open to anyone in need. For years, she lovingly cared for two colonies of feral cats, never missing a day regardless of weather or how she felt. She opened her office not only as a place of work but as a safe haven where friends and clients often stopped by-not just for services, but for conversation, laughter, advice, and the comfort of her listening ear. She gave wise counsel to many, often when they needed it most. Pat found joy in life's simple pleasures. She adored her dog, Sonny, who brought her daily joy and companionship. She found peace in her home and pride in the garden she nurtured with her own hands. In her final months, the massive sunflowers blooming in the backyard became her favorites-a bright, towering symbol of resilience, just like her. She loved deeply-her family, her friends, her animals, and her life. She took pride in her accomplishments, but it was her love, loyalty, and quiet strength that left the greatest impression on everyone who knew her. Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ted Reames. She is survived by her children, Terry and Stacey Reames, and her brothers, Danny, Billy, and Larry Reardon. Her memory lives on in the hearts of all who loved her, and in the many lives she touched with her kindness, wisdom, and strength. In accordance with her wishes, no formal service will be held. We invite those who knew and loved her to honor her in their own way-by planting flowers, helping an animal in need, or simply sharing a kind word with someone who could use it. That is the legacy she would be proud of. Rest in peace, Mom. You were truly one of a kind.
