Norma Gale Hall

Norma Gale Hall, age 71, of Jackson, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Baptist South Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida. She was known by her loved ones and friends as Gale, Momma, Nana, Grand-day, and Bugsy. She was born October 13, 1948, in Memphis, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Douglas and Doris Marie Richardson. Gale was a faithful Christian who enjoyed being a part of the community of Life Church. Gale was preceded in death by her son, Brian Keith Chauncey; her sister, Melody Sells; and her parents, Douglas and Doris Marie Richardson. She was a talented cake decorator, florist, and carpenter. Gale enjoyed playing video games, walking the beach, dancing around the house to her favorite songs, and cooking. She was known as a major foodie and lover of coffee. One of her favorite pastimes was being able to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a goofy, loving, independent, and vivacious woman. Gale remained positive and strong through her journey with cancer, and chose to live her life to the fullest surrounded by her loved ones. Gale is survived by three daughters and three sons-in-law, Tania and Brent Venrooy, Tereasa and Bryan Gower, and Tracie and Kevin Heid; eight grandchildren and their significant others, Brian Campbell, Carrie and Michael Tempel, Ashleigh Campbell and Myke Miller, Brooke and Brandon Cox, Tyler Gower, Nicholas Gower, Joshua Campbell, and Kayla Campbell; four great-grandchildren, Austin and McKinley Tempel, and Emma and Colton Cox; one sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Eugene Dowdy; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Michael and Lisa Richardson, David Richardson, and Timothy and Dee Richardson; as well as her ex-husband and best friend, John Chauncey. She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly. Special thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses at Baptist South Medical Center and the Cancer Specialists of North Florida (CSNF) on AC Skinner Parkway. A Celebration of Life will be held on her birthday, October 13, 2020, in a private family setting.
