Mary Anne Augustyn August 24, 1940 - July 4, 2017 Mary Anne Augustyn, 76, St. Augustine, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 4, 2017 at the Bailey Family Center for Caring. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Mary Anne had been a St. Augustine resident for 16 years, relocating here from Vermont with her husband Edward. She was a devoted and much-loved wife, mother, grammy, great-grammy, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and neighbor. Generous, loving, and caring, she was dedicated to the needs of others, and she never hesitated to make a stranger her friend. Mary Anne was an active member of Living Stone Church, a member of the Overcomers, a founding member of the Commodore’s Club Ladies Bible Study, and the organizer of her community newsletter. In addition to helping special needs students and supporting a homeless lunch program, she also volunteered with St. Augustine Hurricane Relief and Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Johns County. Mary Anne will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, infectious laugh, generous heart, and indomitable spirit. She was a servant of the Lord and deeply faithful, and her greatest joy was being with and taking care of her family. She is survived by her husband, Edward J. Augustyn, St. Augustine; daughter, Laura Kipp (Steve), St. Simons Island, GA; two sons, Michael Augustyn (Martha), Laguna Niguel, CA, David Augustyn (Suzanne), Eastchester, NY; brother, Louis Giambalvo (Hattie), Glendale, CA; sister, Jeannie Bird (Michael), Huntington Beach, CA; grandchildren, Daniel Kipp (Migo), Brunswick, GA, Jennifer Habib-Augustyn (Salim), San Jose, CA, Max Kipp (Jessica), Media, PA, James Sublette, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, and Owen and Liv Augustyn; great-grandchildren, London and Vienna Habib-Augustyn; niece, Lisa Perrino (Rudy), Thousand Oaks, CA; cousin, Betty Cembrook, West Islip, NY; and many more beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday July 15, 2017 at St. Johns Family Funeral Home, with Pastor Chris Comfort officiating.
