Mark Phillip Sekunna

Mark Sekunna passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026. Mark was born in Cold Spring, New York, to Ernest and Florence Sekunna. On October 12, 1991, he married the love of his life, Robin Sekunna of Largo, Florida, in a beautiful ceremony at Sunken Gardens in St. Petersburg, Florida. Mark was a man of deep faith who believed that, after God, family was the most important thing in life. He was the most loving husband, father, and grandfather, and he never missed an opportunity to tell the people he loved how much they meant to him. His love was not only spoken, but shown through the countless ways he cared for and supported his family. Mark's strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to honest business practices were central to who he was. He believed that integrity and honesty in business created a stable foundation for success. At the age of 17, Mark believed God had given him a vision for a business he would one day start. That vision became reality in 1982, and the business has now been operating for 44 years—a lasting testament to Mark's determination, faith, principles, and perseverance. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Sekunna and Florence Sekunna. In addition to his beloved wife, Robin, Mark is survived by his daughters, Tarasa Harp and her husband, Wes, and Mallory Byrne and her husband, Oshae Jones; his son, Alex Sekunna; and his grandchildren, August Harp, Elliott Harp, Marley Byrne, Caiden Jones, Emery Harp, Alana Harp, Ozzy Sekunna, and Aubrey Jones, all of whom he loved dearly and were a great source of joy to him. A Memorial Service Celebrating the Life and Love of Mark Sekunna will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Johns Family Funeral Home in St. Augustine, with Reverend Jim Harp officiating.
