Margery Faye Covert

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Margie Covert, who entered eternal life on September 17, 2023. Margie was born on July 22, 1957, in Jacksonville, FL where she spent her formative years. Margie was appreciative of the rich heritage of her hometown. For the past 22 years, Margie lovingly called Saint Augustine her home. Margie was a woman whose love created profound moments with her beloved family, forming strong connections that will forever endure. She was preceded in death by her son, Ken, along with her brothers Richard and Bobby, and her sister Jackie. Margie's legacy lives on through her devoted children: Kimberly (Shawn) Cudney and Kevin (Lindsay) Eads; adored grandchildren: Colby (Tiffany), Cameron (Morgan), James, Christian, Dallas, Addie, and her great-granddaughter, Amelia. She is also survived by her loving siblings: Carol Clemons, Raymond Covert, Donald (Carol) Covert, Beverly Covert, Debbie Johnson, Michael (Becky) Hofmann, and her faithful K9 companions, Alvin and Simon. And too many extended family members and friends to mention. Margie's loving spirit infused every aspect of her life. She delighted in cruising on her scooter, reveling in lively games, and finding comfort in the timeless stories of Hallmark movies. Her warm-hearted spirit led her to travel, creating cherished memories with her beloved family. A celebration of Margie's life will be held on Sunday, September 24, at 2:30 p.m., at Saint Johns Family Funeral Home, located at 385 State Rd 207, St. Augustine, FL 32084. In honor of Margie's vibrant spirit, we kindly request attendees to wear her favorite color, blue. Dress attire for the service is casual/business casual. Margie's memory will forever be etched in our hearts, and her actions for others will continue to inspire us all.
