Lyndia Dianne Brown, 78, of St. Augustine, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on May 20, 2025, with her beloved family by her side. Born and raised in Lometa, Texas, Lyndia’s early life was rooted in the warmth and simplicity of small-town Texas. It was in Austin, Texas, during the early 1960s, that she met the love of her life while he was stationed there with the U.S. Air Force. They met dancing—a pastime that reflected Lyndia's vibrant spirit—and soon began building a life together. Lyndia and her husband welcomed their first son in Texas before moving to Missouri, a place they would call home on and off throughout the years. By the 1970s, they had created a life between Texas and Missouri, rich in love, family, and purpose. Throughout her life, Lyndia held various jobs, but her most cherished role was serving as an activities director at a nursing home. It was there she met her dearest friend, Sally, who became like a sister to her. Their bond was one of laughter, shared values, and unwavering support. Lyndia had a deep love for the simple joys in life: cooking hearty meals, getting lost in a good book, feeling the sand beneath her feet at the beach, and expressing her creativity through sewing and crafts. But above all, Lyndia was devoted to her family. They were her world. She lived her life with selflessness and grace, always ensuring the needs of others were met before her own. Her legacy is one of love, warmth, creativity, and generosity—a woman who gave her whole heart to those she loved and made everyone feel like family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege to know her. She is survived by her husband, Bill Brown; children, Troy Brown, Shawn Brown, Brett Brown (Sherri); grandchildren, Marley, Dylan, Hanna, Elizabeth “Libby”, Candace, Harmony, Dillion (Kristen), Damion, Emily, Jaden (Cole), Ashley, Alexis and Blake; great grandchildren, William, Lillyn. Luella and cousins who wore more like sisters, Judy Mayfield and Charlotte Sloan. She was preceded in death by her son, Billy Brown.
