Lillian May Hudgins

Lillian May Hudgins, 86, of St. Augustine, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. Born on May 28, 1940, in St. Augustine, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Wannie Beatrice Blalock. A lifelong resident of St. Augustine, Lillian dedicated many years of service to the Florida East Coast Railroad, where she retired as a Marketing Manager. Following her retirement, she continued serving her community as the receptionist at Turning Point at Calvary, a role she faithfully fulfilled until the time of her passing. Lillian's life was a testament to her unwavering faith in the Lord. She was a longtime member of Turning Point at Calvary and was a wonderful example of a godly woman whose kindness, grace, and servant's heart touched countless lives. Above all else, Lillian cherished her family. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter. She also had a passion for crafting and shared her creativity with those around her. A celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Turning Point at Calvary. A visitation, beginning at 2:00 p.m., will precede the services. Flowers are gratefully accepted or those wishing may make a contribution in her memory to the Turning Point at Calvary Generations Building Fund, 3500 State Road 16, St. Augustine, FL 32092. She is survived by her three sons, Larry Hudgins and his wife, Karen, Rick Hudgins, Joey Hudgins and his wife, Suzanne; her brother, Clarence Blalock; her grandchildren, Krystle Kelley (Clarence), Brian Hudgins (Stephanie), Kaley Aldridge (Russell), Mackenzie Hudgins (Jacob), Carson Hudgins (Carly), Kelsey White (Ethan), Brandon Hudgins (Morgan), and Katie Smith (Dylan); and her beloved great-grandchildren, Laila Bray, Brandt Hudgins, Lohgan Hudgins, Trey Kelley, Emmy Hudgins, Caroline White, Luke Hudgins, Samuel White, Dawson Smith, and Arbor Aldridge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Jerry L. Hudgins, and her cherished great-granddaughter, Kinsley Smith. Lillian will be remembered for her steadfast faith, her love for her family, her compassionate spirit, and the example she set through a life of service to God and others. Her legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. St. Johns Family Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
