Joshua Ethan Manassa

Joshua Ethan Manassa, 19, of St. Augustine, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Joshua is survived by his mother, Sherri Manassa, and sister Taylor of St. Augustine, father Philip Manassa and his wife Laura, and her children Aster and Raina of Orange Park, his maternal grandparents, Paul and Grace Hassett of St. Augustine and his paternal grandparents, Irene Manassa of Tennessee and the late Phil Manassa and numerous uncles and cousins; his "second family" to include Rob and Regina Adam and their sons, Gage and Cole who were his band of brothers, his loving girlfriend of 3 years, Ava and all of his friends from school and work. Born in Orange Park on November 22, 2003, Joshua Ethan Manassa was a recent graduate of Bartram High School, Class of 2022. He was Currently enrolled at J-Tech Institute to achieve his AA degree in diesel mechanics. He was an outgoing, humble, and happy kid. Incredibly talented and mechanically inclined, Joshua thoroughly enjoyed working on cars, motorcycles, boats, jet skis, and frankly anything with a motor. Happy to help anyone at any time, Joshua could be counted on to be the "go-to guy" to assist in helping friends and strangers alike to keep them going. Destined to be a master mechanic, Joshua could even have repaired one of Elon Musk's rocket engines. The sky was literally the limit to his ability. Gregarious and kind with his time and always smiling, there is no doubt he enjoyed life to the fullest. Mom was with him at every stage of his life and his father, also ever-present, would do anything for his only child. Both guided, supported, and cherished every one of Joshua's dreams. Little sister Taylor kept big brother on his toes, while grandma and grandfather (aka Ha Ha) loved him more than life itself. Parents, Sherri and Philip, will always love their son Joshua until the end of time...... A funeral service is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023, at St. Johns Family Funeral Home in St. Augustine. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
