Jennifer Lynn Beall-Slay

It is with profound sadness that we, her family, announce Jennifer Bransford Beall-Slay passed away suddenly from a heart attack on the morning of January 10th. Jennifer graduated from Woodham High School, University of West Florida with a degree in Health Science and a minor in English, and she earned her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of South Alabama. Jennifer is survived by her husband Jared Slay, her parents Lee and Judy Bransford, her sister Jamie Hayman, her brother-in-law Gary Hayman, and her nephew Logan Hayman. Jennifer grew up in Pensacola Florida and naturally loved the water. She was a competitive swimmer, taught swimming lessons, and was a lifeguard. She moved from Pensacola to the west coast and back again, eventually settling in St Augustine Florida. She enjoyed boating with her husband and family, running until her feet no longer allowed, and working with her clients and their families. She especially loved her trips to Disney. Jennifer began her career as an English Teacher with an intense love of the English language. Anyone who worked with her on projects or various tasks knew this because she would always correct their grammar and punctuation. She then moved into her career as a Speech Therapist after grad school and eventually started her own company. She quickly became one of the most respected Speech Therapist and was known for her highest quality of care for her patients and mentoring and supporting other Speech Therapists. Jennifer was fiercely intelligent and focused her diverse knowledge base to help others. You could always see her compassion shining through. She had a kind heart, was compassionate, and was the most unselfish person you could hope to meet. She never knew what a stranger was because she always struck up a conversation with anyone around her. She has many friends she met in line somewhere-a store, a restaurant, and several from Disney. Jennifer was devoted to her family and had an intense love for all of them and especially her two fur babies Ducan and Kona. Her family and friends could always count on her loyalty, honesty, and sincerity. With a glass of wine in hand she could chat for hours with an effervescent personality and wicked quick wit. Jennifer you are so loved and we miss you so much, this world is not the same without you.
