Flash Maverick Jenson

Flash Maverick Jenson, age 9, passed away unexpectedly on November 28, 2019 at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. Flash was born in Norman, Oklahoma, grew up in Rexburg, Idaho, and had been a resident of Ponte Vedra, Florida the past two years. He was a fourth grader at Valley Ridge Academy. Flash was diagnosed with Autism around the age of three and he spent his entire life navigating a unique perspective on the world around him. Flash loved art and classical music, especially drawing the pictures in his head. He enjoyed swimming and going to the beach. He was “happy-go-lucky,” fun-seeking, and carefree in his personality. Inside, he possessed a vibrant imagination. He was playful and creative with Disney characters, swimming, toys, games, and music. He enjoyed designing puppets, and had become quite the movie maker. He was fascinated with motion and anything animated, with his world being an inspiring place. Flash was a Cub Scout, achieved the rank of Bear, and was a Pinewood Derby Champion. Just days before he departed, he completed a family mile race. His life was full of love, curiosity, and kindness. Flash and his infectious smile will be deeply missed. He is survived by his parents, Jeff and Tiff Jenson of Ponte Vedra, FL; a sister, Stormy Jenson; maternal grandparents, Terry and Carol Sanford of Sandy, Utah; paternal grandparents, Brice and Colleen Jenson of North Ogden, Utah; maternal aunts: Holly, Heather, Natalie, and Brooke, and maternal uncles: Dane, Tyler C., Tyler W., and Jesse; paternal aunt, Kim and paternal uncles, Brad and Mike; as well as many cousins. A remembrance service will be held at a 9 am on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 5490 County Road 210 W., St. Johns Florida 32259. Interment will follow at Dr. Phillips Cemetery in Orlando. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at St. Johns Family Funeral Home, 385 State Road 207, St. Augustine, FL. 32084.
