Mike Theodosion

Emanuel Mike Theodosion, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on April 20, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio, Mike's life was one of dedication, service, and abundant love. Mike grew up in a family rooted in the restaurant business, and after attending Kent State University, he proudly served as an Electronic Communication Specialist in the United States Navy. It was during this time that he met the love of his life, Estelle Pastis, in the choir of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Cleveland. Their love story began in the melodies of faith and music, and together they built a family and experienced the blessing of God. In the summer of 1976, Mike and Estelle took a leap of faith, relocating to St. Augustine, where they ventured into the restaurant business. They operated an Arthur Treacher's Fish & Chips from 1976 to 1984, a testament to their entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to community. In 1984, they celebrated the opening of Theo's Restaurant on San Marco Avenue and later relocated it to their new facility at the corner of US 1 and King Street. Theo's was a local favorite for many years until its closing in 2018. A devoted member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Mike contributed his talents as an active choir member and assumed vital roles in church leadership and stewardship. He notably served as chairman of the building committee, overseeing the construction of the new parish building on CR 214, leaving a lasting mark on his community of faith. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, John & Margaret Theodosion and his brother, Rev. Father Nikitas Theodosion. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Estelle Pastis of St. Augustine; his daughter, Margaret and her husband Bill of Atlanta; his sister, Melanie Linderman of Cleveland; his sister-in-law, Presbytera Mary Theodosion of New Jersey; and his cherished grandson, Emanuel Manos and his wife Akriti. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Mike's life during the funeral service at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church on January 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM. A visitation , beginning at 10 am will precede the service at church. Interment with military honors will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida. As we gather to reflect on Mike's remarkable journey, we remember not only his accomplishments but also faith, kindness and joy that he spread to all who crossed his path.
