Donna Diane Turlington

Donna Diane Turlington, also affectionately known as Diane Wright-Turlington, passed away unexpectedly on January 29, 2025, at the age of 63. A native and lifelong resident of St. Augustine, Diane’s warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. Diane’s career journey began at Marineland as a secretary, followed by a position at VAW Aluminum. She then transitioned into retail at Publix for 15 years. Diane enjoyed volunteering for many years with Alpha Omega Miracle Home, but found her passion was working with the residents and helping at the thrift store. She started working at the Alpha Omega Thrift Store, where she later retired as an assistant manager. While there, she made it very clear to her boss that she would never charge anyone for a Bible, even if it cost her her job. That’s how much she loved sharing the word of God. Diane’s compassionate nature and dedication to helping others will always be remembered by the many lives she impacted during her time there. She loved nothing more than gathering with her family, where she would always bring her famous homemade cookies. She cherished every moment with her sons, grandchildren, and loved ones. Even in the most serious moments, Diane’s infectious laughter was sure to get her or someone else in trouble at every get together, giving us countless giggles and memories over the years. Diane is survived by her sons Michael Colee (Kari) and Dustin Turlington of St. Augustine; her mother, Carol Wright of St. Augustine; her siblings, Lisa Franklin (Charles), Sheryl Hitchcock (Charles), Woody Shugart (Leslie), Nina Craven (Kevin), all of St. Augustine, Georgette McMahon (Art) of Huntersville, NC, and April Carey (Brooks) of St. Augustine; her grandchildren, Alexa, Trenton, and Alleigh; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Buck Wright, her former husband, Troy Turlington, and a grandson, Christopher. A celebration of Diane’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Church On The Rock.
