In Loving Memory of Daniel R. Clark Born: September 1, 1961 Went to be with the Lord: June 19, 2025 Daniel R. Clark was born at Jamaica Hospital in Jamaica, New York, and grew up in Springfield Gardens. He graduated from Elmont Memorial High School in 1979. At that time, he was working as a bus driver for the MTA/L.I. Bus/NICE in New York City. That's where Dan and Patty's love story began-on one of his routes. On September 25, 1993, in East Meadow, NY, Dan and Patty were married. They shared 32 wonderful years together-well, most of them! A week after Dan and Patty were married, they bought their first home in Ronkonkoma, NY, where they lived for 31 years. In 2024, they moved to Palm Coast, Florida, where Dan loved spending time outside under the lanai or relaxing in the pool. Though they didn't have children, they were blessed with many fur babies who filled their home with love. First came Barney (B.J.), and later J.J., who became Dan's constant companion. J.J. never left his side, and we truly believed that God sent him as a furry little angel just for Dan. Dan was a devoted fan of the New York Islanders and the New York Giants. His love for the Islanders was unmatched-he lived and breathed for his team. Dan enjoyed bowling and was known by the nickname "Dynamite Dan." He also found great joy working in his man cave (garage), fixing up cars, building things for the yard, and spending time with family and friends. He was always willing to help someone in need. Dan was the kind of man who would show up at 2:00 a.m. to bail you out without hesitation. Whether you were in trouble or just needed a shoulder to cry on, Dan was the one you could count on. Dan is survived by his loving wife Patty; his sisters Debbie, Kathy, and Laurie; and his brothers Tommy, Bobby, and Peter. He also leaves behind his in-laws: Jack, Alicia, Kelly, Tim, Cindy, and Ann. Dan is now reunited with his mom and pop pop. He also gets to meet his biological father, James Clark, who passed away when Dan was only 8 months old. Dan was cherished by many nieces and nephews: Jennifer, Michelle, Marianne, Rebecca, Isabella, Danielle, Billy, Randy, Jason, Jimmy, Anthony, John, Daniel, Josh, and Iman. He also had a special cousin, Toni, whom he adored. Dan had a unique bond with his brother from another mother, Mike. He had a very special relationship with Ray known as "Big Daddy" and "Colonel Sanders"-and Bill, affectionately known as "Walter." Dan was a kind and loving teddy bear-a gentle giant. He was truly blessed with the gift of gab and a heart full of compassion. If you needed someone to fight for you-or just a shoulder to cry on-Dan was your guy. Dan always said "I'm sorry," not out of guilt, but because he cared deeply and wanted to make things right. A Final Message to Dan from his loving wife Patty: Dan, I love you with all my heart and miss you tremendously. We shared a total of 35 years together, and I wouldn't change a single second of it. You were the most loving and caring husband and friend a woman could ever ask for. I know you're in heaven now, no longer suffering. Jesus made you whole again. This isn't goodbye-just a "see you later." I know we will meet again in heaven. See ya later, Baby. Visitation & Service Information A visitation will take place on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a service beginning at 3:00 PM at St. Johns Family Funeral Home.
