Clara Elaine Parrott

Clara Elaine Parrott, a vibrant spirit and beloved member of her community, passed away December 18, 2024, in St. Augustine, Florida. Born on March 15, 1962, in Charlottesville, Virginia, Clara lived a life filled with laughter and love that touched everyone who was fortunate enough to have known her. She was a devoted mother to her daughter Alexis Parrott and a cherished grandmother to Juliana Lloyd. Clara was a beautiful homemaker and took pride in creating a warm and welcoming home where friends and family often gathered for laughter-filled evenings around the dinner table or creating lasting memories singing and dancing by the fire. Clara, an accomplished sales leader with over 25 years of experience was known for her unwavering dedication and remarkable ability to connect with people. Her infectious personality made every interaction memorable; she had a unique gift of making strangers feel like friends within moments. Colleagues admired this trait of Clara’s and she will be missed. An animal lover through and through—especially fond of her cats—Clara found solace in their companionship as they curled up beside her while she read, caught up on the day and watched the news late into the night. Her compassion extended beyond just pets; anyone in need could count on Clara’s generous spirit without hesitation. Though we mourn the loss of my mother Clara today and the world feels dimmer without her radiant light—we celebrate her legacy: one defined by kindness and unyielding strength through life’s journey. Clara is proceeded in death by her father Alvin Harris Deane, mother Mary Elizabeth Deane, two brothers, Curtis Lee Deane and Christopher Wade Deane and sister-in-law Lori Deane. She leaves behind her cherished daughter, Alexis Nicole Parrott son-in-law Bobby, her granddaughter, Juliana Clara Lloyd, sisters Barbara Shifflett (Steve), Emily Pace (Bill), brothers Alvin Deane (Nancy), Benji Deane and Gary Deane (Tracy), sister-in-law Teresa Deane and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. We would like to thank all of those who helped Clara transition comfortably and with dignity. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to a charity of your choice in Clara’s memory. A celebration of life will be held on the 26th at the Land-shark Bar & Grill Daytona Beach (6pm-8pm) An additional celebration will be held in Virginia at a later date.
