Charles Scott Snell

Charles "Chuck" Scott Snell passed away on February 4th, 2023. He was 52 years old and lived most recently in Holden, Massachusetts, and Saint Augustine, Florida. Chuck was born on February 20th, 1970, in Worcester, MA. He attended St. Peter-Marian Central Catholic High School where he was a standout football player both offensively and defensively as the team captain. He was twice named a Central Mass Conference All-Star and had the distinct honor of playing in the Shriners All-Star game. His high school experience was not limited to athletic or academic achievements, most importantly he made several lifelong friendships. Following graduation, he attended AIC and Northeastern University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Criminal Justice. Chuck worked in Juvenile Corrections in Worcester and then transitioned to a leadership role in the family design-build construction business. He moved to Florida in 2021 with his family where he continued his career in construction project management. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and his close band of brothers from high school. His leisure time was spent with his family and friends vacationing, supporting hobbies, and building new shared interests. He loved to watch his children grow and was so proud of their achievements. Chuck was truly a kid at heart and celebrated joining his children in their pursuits so he could be a kid again. Chuck had a passion for art and was a truly creative soul. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed shooting at the range, exploring, and water sports. He could snorkel for hours and possessed the ability to dive deeper than what should be humanly possible often concerning onlookers. He was a New England Patriots fan and could have been a spokesperson for Weber grills. He possessed a legendary talent for butchering song lyrics and an infallible memory for movie quotes. He was never ashamed to be himself or say whatever was on his mind, in any situation. Chuck would without hesitation drop whatever he was doing at a moment’s notice to help a friend in need. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, and loyal friend who had a unique sense of humor and was always willing to help others. Chuck will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind his wife Judy, his children Madison and Chase, his father Charles Addison Snell Sr. and his wife Paula Snell of St Augustine, his mother Catherine Marchiano of Holden MA, his siblings and their families Christopher Snell, Cindylee (Snell) Hamilton, and Clifford Snell. Additionally, Chuck leaves behind many other relatives and friends he has cultivated throughout his life. You will never find a more loyal friend and ally. Forever in our hearts and greatly missed. A private celebration of Chuck’s life is planned for a future date.
