Ann Eileen McGuire

Ann Eileen McGuire, at the age of 79, passed peacefully on the morning of September 15, 2021 at the Bailey Family Center for Caring in St. Augustine, Florida. Ann was born in The Bronx, New York, daughter of the late Walter and Ann LaCoste (Brosnahan) and has been a resident of St. Augustine since 1997 with her late husband, Raymond Jackson. Ann relocated from New Jersey after retiring from her employment at AT&T where she worked as a manager and in many other capacities for more than 30 years. Even following her retirement from AT&T, Ann enjoyed remaining active and working as an interior designer in Florida. Ann was known by all who loved her for her beautiful sense of style, creativity, and positive outlook on absolutely anything that life threw her way. She enjoyed Aqua Zumba classes, family gatherings, her AA community, and remaining close and in contact with all of her numerous friends and family from North to South. Survived by her daughter, Collette LaCoste McGuire, Brooklyn, NY; son, James Joseph McGuire, Bethlehem, PA; grandchildren Hannah and Haydn McGuire; stepdaughter, Joyce Mellody (husband Bob Lizotte) of Rhode Island; stepson Raymond Jackson, Jr (wife Deb) of Delaware; step grandchildren, Sarah Mellody Watson (husband Sam), Katie Faella (husband Marc), Michelle Russo (husband Nick), Eric Jackson, Erin Jackson; great grandchildren, Mackenzie Watson and Sam Watson; sisters in law Dottie Avram, Helen Rose (Bud), Linda Finlan (Bill); brothers in law Tommy Jackson, Walter Jackson (deceased); in addition to numerous, beloved cousins, including Ruth and Chloe Ivanescu, other extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at St. Johns Family Funeral Home. Those unable to attend the services at the funeral home can view the service live streamed at https://iframe.dacast.com/b/156599/c/549019. A visitation will precede the service beginning at 12 noon. Ann McGuire will be remembered for too many wonderful things to mention. She was that one special person who was always there to lend a hand, to listen to your problems, and to be their heart and soul for any friend or family in need.
