In Loving Memory of Alina Judith Niederer Alina Judith Niederer, aged 33, of St. Augustine, passed away on October 14th, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of adventure, ambition, and cherished memories. Born in Switzerland, Alina spent her early years in the picturesque Swiss landscapes before embarking on a life's journey that took her across continents. At the age of four, she moved to Matthews, North Carolina, where she began to shape her remarkable life story. Alina's dedication to her education and career was evident from a young age. After graduating from high school, she pursued a dual major in International Business and Marketing, with a minor in German, at the University of South Carolina. In 2012, she graduated, marking the beginning of her professional journey. Alina's career took her to different corners of the world. She worked for E-Z-Go in Augusta, GA, before returning to Switzerland to earn her master’s degree in Marketing, Service, and Communications from the University of St. Gallen in 2017. Following her academic achievements, she embarked on a year-long backpacking adventure, exploring the beauty and diversity of Southeast Asia, India, South America, and Europe. After having enough of hostiles and limited wardrobe selections, Alina settled in Asheville, NC, in 2019 and took on the role of Commercial Development Manager at UPM. Her commitment and dedication to her work earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues. In 2021, she made her home in St. Augustine, Florida, where she served as the Marketing Director for Nivel in Jacksonville. Her new work team cherished her contributions, and she made a significant impact. Beyond her professional pursuits, Alina embraced life to the fullest. She found joy in snowboarding, held a scuba diving certification, enjoyed outdoor workouts and CrossFit, and was passionate about cooking. Her love for Disney, the beach, and her beloved dog, Thor, brought laughter and happiness into her life. Alina's warm and loving nature extended to her family and friends. She was a loving daughter and sister and a cherished friend to many. Her radiant spirit and kindness touched the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Alina is survived by her loving parents, Helmut and Marlis Niederer, her sister Larissa Niederer, and numerous other family members, friends, and co-workers who will forever hold her in their hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that everyone consider making a charitable donation in Alina's honor. Details will be provided in the near future. Alina's memory will live on through the stories we share and the impact she made on the lives of those fortunate enough to have known her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who loved her. May she rest in eternal peace. Memorial service will be held at 3pm on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Church Eleven22, 8133 Point Meadows Drive, Jacksonville, Florida 32256.
