Suzanne Rae Stotler

Suzanne Rae Stotler May 31, 1952 - March 20, 2017 Suzie Stotler (Wood) was born in Lawrenceburg, Indiana May 31, 1952 to Robert and Helene Wood. She was one of three daughters and two sons who lived into adulthood. Her early years where spent in close companionship of many cousins, aunts and uncles at The Wood Farm. She moved to Xenia, Ohio with her family in 1963, completed Xenia High School and spent her adult years working and raising her son Matt Stotler and daughter Emmie Stotler in Jamestown, Ohio. Always finding time to referee soccer, do homework and be there for friends when needed. She made historic St. Augustine, Fla. her home 9 years ago and found another career at The Family Run Leonardi's Landscape and Garden Center. She has made many friends there and expanded her passion for landscaping and gardens to many community members and The Alligator Farm! She loved bringing natural beauty to peoples lives. She was lucky, she fell in-love again with the birth of her grandson Ky, whom dubbed her 'Moca', both where bound in love and play! My sister, a mother to two and grandmother slipped into the next world in the wee hours greeting the arrival of the Spring Equinox. With book in hand, after a day visiting friends and family she passed from this world in her sleep. With no known illness, it was an unexpected shock and a great loss to her family and all who knew her. She was feisty, opinionated, hard working, loved plants her bicycle and always had time for others, and if you don't believe me, just ask anyone who knew her. After a visit, just a month ago and in anticipation of her visit next week to meet her newly adopted grand daughter Bella, I feel the loss in seeing more happiness on her face as she met this new addition to the family. The loss of a sister and friend is an emptiness that will be hard to fill. 'Moca' Suzie, is now an Angle to Ky and all of us, overseeing the flowers, trees and clouds in the sky!
